SUBSEA IOT AND NAVIGATION NETWORK

DiveNET: Delta is an OEM level solution designed to provide the subsea, acoustic component of a large-scale Subsea Internet of Things (SIoT) and navigation network with remote (internet) accessibility across the air-water barrier. A single DiveNET: Delta Surface Network Access Point (SNAP) supports communication with up to 555 subsea target nodes using static or dynamic address configurations to allow for seamless addition/replacement of subsea nodes. Each SNAP station consists of a radio communications GPS buoy and a DiveNET: Sealink series acoustic modem providing up to 8,000 m of underwater communications range. Concurrent navigation functions are supported through additional USBL and/or LBL surface navigation base stations.

GPS-X

QUICK LONG BASELINE UNDERWATER GPS TRACKING

DiveNET: GPS Explorer ("GPS-X") is the latest evolution of DiveNET Subsea Wireless hydroacoustic solutions designed to support Diver and Unmanned Underwater System  (UUS) operators with precise and rapidly deployable wireless underwater GPS navigation.

DiveNET: GPS-X employs a set of 3 (+1 optional)  hand-portable Air/Water Radio (AWR) GPS buoys to provide precise, inverted Long Base Line (iLBL) surface tracking of an individual underwater target equipped with a DiveNET: Microping acoustic pinger. The system records a complete track for review, including target and buoy positions, exportable to KML or CSV format. DiveNET: GPS-X supports real-time data exporting with GPS emulation output.

DiveNET: GPS-X additionally serves as the tracking component for seamless operation with the DiveNET: 5x5 Diver Voice Communications system.

DiveNET: GPS X provides the following data for an individual target Diver/UUV:

- Target geographic coordinates

- Target depth

- Water temperature

- Pinger battery charge

- Target speed and heading calculation (based on multiple pings)

- AWR GPS buoy dynamic positions and battery charge

When interfaced with a surface GPS unit, DiveNET: GPS X additionally provides:

- Operator coordinates

- Operator speed and heading

- Range to target

- Bearing to target

- Target bearing to operator position

Optilink

UNDERWATER OPTICAL MODEM

The DiveNET: Optilink optical underwater modem is designed to provide an additional, high-speed channel of wireless subsea communications within visible light ranges.

  • "Miniature" dimensions and power consumption: 100 mA, Ф40x45 mm

  • Data transmission rate: 4800 bit/s at up to 10 m range (rate and range to be expanded)

  • Directivity diagram: hemisphere

  • Maximum depth: 1,000 m

  • UART compatible

Seagate

AUTOMATIC ACOUSTIC APPROACH AND
PRECISION PARKING SYSTEM

DiveNET: Seagate is an OEM level Acoustic Subsea Approach and Precision Parking System (ASAPPS) designed to provide automatic, acoustic proximity navigation guidance  and precise terminal control during mobile Autonomous Underwater System (AUS) docking maneuvers.

DiveNET: Seagate provides proximity navigation guidance using automatic relative bearing navigation to  a range of up to 3,000 m from the base station. Upon reaching terminal guidance stage, the system automatically switches to high precision operating mode, providing docking

guidance with < 10 cm precision.

The screenshots below demonstrate a track recording of successful wet trials of the system prototype using a small autonomous vehicle and a passthrough gate of 3x3 m in shallow water (3 m depth).
